i‘m always cycling through engaging and not engaging with kpop but this time around it’s been... something

day 1: one of my favourite artist is involved in a drunk driving incident + fandoms of groups i enjoy are clawing each other’s throats out in all their usual toxicity (which is normal, i guess)

day 2: jeonghan‘s enlistment is officially announced

… at least changbin and skz were being cute on his birthday?

#┊glimpse into the crystal ball ೃ༄#there‘s a reason i don’t dig deep into kpop fandom drama #i like gossip and drama but some people need to chill #some of the responses to the first point have been absolutely vile and i haven’t even actively tried to engage with it #anyway #i was catching up with seventeen and immediately after we get jeonghan‘s enlistment announcement and people on the tl are breaking my heart #he‘s not even my bias but still #what am i supposed to do when the 96 and 97 lines go too?#(obviously it won’t be the same without all 13 of them but those lines have my biases so it’ll hurt even more ㅠㅠ)#my engagement with kpop is prett shallow nowadays compared to a few years prior #so i‘ll watch skz code/player or gose and maybe look if there’s some cute merch #but i usually stay away from the discourse outside of more general topics #like i‘m aware this happened and i can have a convo/my thoughts about it #but bringing up the name of someone who sadly passed away? nasty 0 brain cell behaviour #you need to see sun and grass
